A Mustafa Kemal Atatürk copper bust mantle statue. Statue features a copper bust atop a black painted wooden base. The base features a Republic of Turkey flag to the front of the piece.

Atatürk (Turkish/Ottoman Empire, 1881, D 1938, Istanbul) was a Turkish army officer, military and political strategist and the and founder of Turkey (Republic of Turkey,) and served in the office of President 1923 – 1938. He is known for his role in the Turkish victory at Gallipoli in World War I, going on to create a set of political and ideological beliefs called ‘Kemalism’ and developing a secular and progressive culture. In 1934, the Parliament awarded him the surname for which he is known, Atatürk, which translates roughly ‘Father of the Turks,’ to honor his contributions to the modern nation.
