A hand-knotted Turkmen Ersari area rug. This tribal wool rug features two square medallions in a field of geometric patterns. The rug has guard borders in fret key, Khiva flower, and quatrefoil clover patterns. The rug is finished with double overcast selvedge edges, with narrow kilim skirts and a natural, undyed goat wool warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
