Item Details
A handwoven Turkish kilim. This wool area rug features an artfully irregular lattice pattern of scorpion guls over a field that ranges from burgundy to rose, coral, and mocha. Some of the guls are enclosed in stepped diamond medallions, while others float. Framing the field is an ivory-grounded border featuring a pattern of repeating gulbudak guls in a variety of colors. Selvedges are double overcast, while top and bottom finish with braided ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
