Item Details
A handwoven Turkish kilim. This wool area rug is woven in a palette of saffron, cranberry, pumkin, and ivory. Its field is composed of five horizontal panels grounded in different colors and divided by sawtooth horizontal borders in pumpkin and ivory. Each panel contains three medallions enclosing a wolf’s mouth gul. Framing the field are sawtooth reciprocal borders in cranberry and saffron, with pumkin edging and pink crenellated divider strips. Selvedges are double overcast, while top and bottom finish with long ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled
