A hand-knotted Shirvan wool area rug. The rug features a central pattern of six sided medallions in a color palette of pink, cream, navy blue, and white that sits on top of a deep red field. The field is populated by abstract medallions and enclosed by a compound border that features a kazak border throughout on a white background in a complementary palette. The rug has an overcast edge with a wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
