Framed Limoges Pâte-Sur-Pâte Cameos
Item Details
A set of framed Limoges pâte-sur-pâte cameos. The pair feature blue and white pâte-sur-pâte cameos to the center depicting dancing Classical style Greek figures in draped gowns. The cameos are set on composite bases with a silk moire lining. Below are mounted scrolled foliate gold-tone elements. The frames have gold-tone and black speckled edges, beaded trim, and acanthus leaf details at the top. There are hanging loops to verso. Each is marked ‘Genuine Limoges Cameo, Made in France for Sungott Art Studeo, New York, Style No.838’.
Condition
- some discoloration throughout; wear to versos.
