Item Details
A handwoven Turkish kilim. This wool area rug features a pair of large hooked diamond medallions, which are grounded in black and enclose pink guls with orange diamonds at the center. The medallions rest on an abrashed field populated with occasional gulbudak guls, fetter motifs, colorful hexagons, and other symbology. The field is framed by an ivory border featuring a pattern of repeating eight-point stars in different colors. Selvedges are triple overcast, the rug finishing at either end with ivory cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
