Vintage Still Life Oil Painting of Apples

An oil painting on canvas of apples. This work depicts a still life of three glossy red apples, laid out together on a dark, slightly reflective ground. The fruit is lit from above and have been splashed with small droplets of water, allowing the work to have a further feeling of depth. The painting is signed what appears to read ‘N. Uka’ in white paint to the lower right corner, and is presented in a carved black and gold tone frame with textile liner and a wire for hanging.

- painting surface has light marks; stains to liner; dust and wear to frame; marks and paint residue to backing.
