A signed limited edition lithograph on paper with hand-colored details by well-listed Modernist wildlife artist, Ikki Matsumoto (Tokyo/Cincinnati/Sanibel Island; 1934 – 2014). The image depicts a giant owl standing over a little girl who sits pensively on a toadstool, next to a frog companion who also sits on a toadstool. The print is numbered 117/200 and signed by the artist in pencil to the bottom margin. Artist seal is inked to the lower right, next to the signature. This work is mounted under coordinating matting, behind glass in a beveled wood frame with a gilt speckled finish, equipped to hang.
Matsumoto attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1957 to study under Charley Harper.
