A Turkish tribal tent decoration or piece of blanket tack. This wool textile, possibly once a saddle blanket, is handwoven and embroidered in a wide-ranging palette that leans toward warm reds, orange, ivory, and black. Its design consists of seventeen horizontal panels, almost all of which incorporate diamond shapes in different color combinations and patterns. Selvedges are double overcast, while top and bottom are hand-finished. The piece is unlabeled.
