Item Details
A hand-knotted Anatolian runner. This rectilinear wool rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of rose, forest green, royal blue, and cream. It features three elongated medallions, each grounded in green and enclosing a royal blue square panel containing a stylized tree of life motif. The medallions rest on a rose-colored field, which is punctuated with_marasali_ motifs, which are repeated in one of two primary borders, over a cream-colored ground. The other primary border contains a repeating pattern of trefoil floral stems and eyes, interrupted by a single quatrefoil motif at the center of the top of the rug. This border is grounded in rose. Selvedges are quadruple overcast in green, the rug finishing at either end with undyed wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.

Condition
- there are two spots on the selvedge where the carpet has unraveled with loss to pile; fringe is unbound and uneven, with areas clipped and the beginnings of loss to pile.
