Signed Artist's Proof Abstracted Aquatint Etching "Lanscape #II"
Item Details
A signed artist’s proof etching with areas of drypoint linework, aquatint shading, and a la poupée coloring on wove paper, titled Landscape #II. The print depicts an abstracted field of overlapping gritty linework and texture, printed in shades of black, gray, and red-brown. The print is signed illegibly, titled, labeled an artist’s proof, and dated 1967 in graphite to the lower margin. It is matted in brown and presented behind glass in a two-tone wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Condition
- to fair. Paper is slightly yellowed. Warping and light creasing can be seen across, particularly to the lower margin.
