German Porcelain Lidded Jar

Item Details

A porcelain lidded jar produced in Germany. This jar has a domed lid with a finger loop finial. The lip and the base are both floriform, and there is a printed designs of a flooded forest with a chest next to an urn overflowing with colorful vines and flowers. The piece is marked to the underside ‘Germany’.

Condition

- to fair; edges appear to have lost most of their gilding; discolored due to age; printed design has spots and is faded; top is quite worn; some chips to interior rim.
