An oil painting on canvas board attributed to listed artist Charles W. Stetson (1858 – 1911), titled Portrait of a Young Woman. This painting depicts a girl rendered in slight profile, who emerges from a darkened background in a chiaroscuro technique. This unsigned painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a handwritten note regarding the artist and work itself.

- abrasions to canvas at top right corner of frame edges; staining to painting; chips to gesso; stains to frame; backing torn.
