Intaglio Prints and Bernard Picart Lithograph "The Principle Religions of the World"

A pair of intaglio prints and a lithograph. Included in an unsigned lithographic reproduction of an illustration for the 1727 publication Religious Ceremonies and Customs, titled The Principle Religions of the World, by listed French artist Bernard Picart (1673-1733). The work depicts a detailed landscape scattered with throngs of people and various religious figures. Also in this assortment is an intaglio print of a river and bridge by artist A.P. Thomson, and a piece titled Parliament Building, Ottawa by listed artist John Taylor Arms Jr. (1887-1953), which includes a note, signed and dated 1941, from the artist to the original owner in pencil to the lower margin. Parliament Building, Ottawa is presented behind a cream tone mat, and no prints are framed.
Condition
- poor; varying wear to all prints; A.P. Thomson print is severely creased; toning and foxing to all paper.
