A pair of antique lithographs after drawings by the American artist Felix Octavius Carr Darley (1822-1888). Included is a print after Darley’s drawing Chilion and a print after Darley’s drawing Margaret. Both pieces are titled to the lower center and are also printed with the words ‘Drawn by F.O.C. Darley,’ ‘Sarony, Major & Knapp imp,’ and ’Engr’d on Stone by K. Huber’ along the lower edge. Originally book illustrations, these pieces were printed in 1856. Presented behind glass, the prints are displayed in wooden frames with sage green mats and sawtooth brackets along the versos for hanging.
Condition
- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; minor staining throughout; minor chipping to frames, signs of toning and foxing to the paper.

- measured one frame, visible image measures approximately 7.75" wd. × 11.5″ ht.
