A ceramic sculpture of a boy, by listed sculptor Dane Burr (c. 1926-2013). This piece depicts a black-haired boy reclining backwards and lifting one foot into the air, a beach ball balanced deftly on his lofted foot. This figure is captured in muted shades of red, green, and black, with mottled yellow and white, and wears a shirt, pants, and skullcap that echo the pattern of the ball. The sculpture is signed by the artist to the underside and to the lower back of the figure.

- fair; wear to finish with some loss of color; dark marks and smudging throughout.
