Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Round Area Rug
Item Details
An Indo-Persian round area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of merlot, black, cream, and pale peach. It features crisply rendered carnations, lilies, and other flowers as well as palmettes, lancet leaves, and vines in phases of pale peach, cream, black, and merlot. The field is encircled by four borders. These include a primary floral border over black and two pansy-filled minor borders over peach. The outer guard border is merlot colored. The rug is finished with a short kilim skirt and long, knotted cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
