A 1986 mixed media painting on canvas, titled Rune of Strength and New Beginnings, by artist R. J. Lindstrom. This artwork, which uses both acrylic and oil paint, depicts a swirling, marbleized mass of red and white, a simple pair of nested shapes modeled after the Norse rune ‘uruz’ for strength. This painting is initialed ‘RL’ in red to the lower right and is presented in a white wood frame.There is a tag bearing the title, materials, date, and artist’s name to the verso, along with a wire for hanging.
