Decorative Vases With Gold Tone Detailing Featuring Bernardaud
Item Details
A collection of ornate vases with gold tone accents. Included is a gold-tone floral bud vase, a Bernardaud Limoges lidded container with Ancient Egyptian motifs, a large Japanese vase with figures in deep relief with hand painted landscapes and molded details against the black ground, and a Japanese stoneware vessel. Also included is a small Japanese Satsuma ware bud vase. It is decorated with figures surrounded by flying dragons. The underside is marked ‘Great Japan, Chōshūzan, Satsuma, Painted by Sadatomo’ (大日本, 長州山, 薩摩国, 定友画).
Condition
- some minor surface wear; some crazing to the glazes; minor wear to the finishes.
