Gaetano Pesce "La Mama" Chair

A UP5 and UP6 La Mama chair by Italian architect and designer Gaetano Pesce (born 1939). Design for B&B Italia in 1968, this Modern, sculptural armchair mimics an abstract female form and has a short cord leads to a coordinating round ottoman. Executed in injected polyurethane, both pieces are upholstered in a vibrant tomato red stretch fabric. Described as ‘transformational’ furniture, this design is an iconic example of Pop Art.
