A 1996 mixed media painting over a serigraph on canvas by listed American Pop artist John Stango (born 1958). The piece, titled Marylin Monroe, features a black halftone image of Monroe after one of her iconic 1950s photographs; she is depicted wearing a choker necklace and looking straight ahead. The screenprinted image is embellished in vibrant overlapping hues of yellow, red, purple, blue, teal and orange. The piece is signed in silver tone marker to the lower left and additionally signed and dated to the canvas verso. It is presented unframed on stretched canvas fitted with a hanging wire.
