A pair of woodblock prints by listed artist Fannie Rebecca Mennen (1903 – 1995), featuring Gabby. These two prints depict two cats nestled together on a wicker chair, both of which stare forward inquisitively. Gabby depicts a short-hair cat sitting on its hind legs, looking off to the side. The compositions are rendered with gouged lines clustered in linear arrangements. Gabby is printed on a piece of wood, while the untitled work is printed on paper. They are presented under glass beneath matting in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Found to the lower margins of the frame verso for Gabby is a handwritten tag including title and artist signature.

Condition

- frames are scuffed and scratched; glass could benefit from cleaning; paper backing stained and torn; discoloration to white mat.
