A power-loomed Sphinx round rug by Oriental Weavers. This Egyptian-made polypropylene area rug is rendered in a palette of plum, olive, cornsilk, and cream. It features a Persian-inspired design of palmettes, flowers, leaves, and vines over a plum-colored field. Framing the field are six borders, including a primary herati border with meandering palmettes and lancet leaves over cornsilk, and an outer guard border in plum. Minor borders contain meandering floral and foliate patterns. The edge is overcast. Labeled on the reverse.
