A collection of Charles Dickens themed transfer printed jugs circa 1944-68. There are two jugs and a sugar bowl in the assortment all made by Sandland Ware (Lancaster & Sandland Ltd Hanley England). The pieces are all decorated with scenes from Charles Dickens novels, one having a copper luster ground. The scenes include ‘Micawber Introduces David to London’ and ‘Oliver Twist Asks For More’. The pieces have printed marks on the underside
