A semi-antique hand knotted Persian Malayer area rug. The rug features a scarlet colored lozenge medallion over a cornflower blue field. The medallion displays a single herati flower surrounded by lobed flowers. The exaggerated spandrels and principal border display geometric forms in umber, blue, orange, and cream. The rug terminates in a white cotton warp fringe.
