Figural Pair of Vintage Iron and Brass Equestrian Andirons

Item Details

A pair of vintage figural iron and brass equestrian andirons. The well modeled andirons have a cast iron head with a curved brass bit that connects to the corresponding andiron. Both rest on brass hoof form bases, tied into a curved log rest with iron horse head stops and iron supports. No signature could be found on the andirons.

Condition

- some wear to finish; one horse head is missing one of two bolts and is slightly tilted as a result; some paint loss and surface rust.
