Ornate Gilt Dresser Box with Porcelain Portrait
Item Details
An ornate gilt dresser box with a porcelain portrait. This unique piece features a hinged lid with molded and pierced work exposing a pink fabric lining behind glass. In the center medallion is a hand-painted portrait on porcelain. The interior shows a floral embroidered lining, and marked to the underside, ‘France’.
Condition
Condition is consistent with age and shows signs of wear to the portrait, and to the gilt finish.
