A semi-antique, hand knotted Persian Zanjan area rug. This wool rug features a geometric center medallion in shades of red, orange, blue, green and white on a rectangular red field. The field is surrounded by a floral major border within running water minor borders, and the perimeter is marked by a red guard border with natural warp fringe at the far ends. Unmarked.

Consistent with age; discoloration on one end.
