An antique hand-knotted Persian Shiraz area rug. The wool rug is woven in a palette of rusty red, merlot, brown, apricots, dark blue and cream. It features a repeating framed diamond pole medallion flanked by black on a red field. This rug has a dark blue diagonal inner border, as well as a rust and brown guard border with the carnation primary border is rendered in cream with a repeating images. The far ends have natural warp fringe. Unmarked.
