A hand-knotted Tabriz area rug. This wool rug features a central star medallion in a palette of red, navy, and cream on a crimson arabesque field. The field is framed by four navy and cream spandrels to the corners and compound borders, including a primary herati border. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with long cotton warp fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
