South Asian Mughal Manuscript Paintings
Item Details
A collection of four South Asian Mughal watercolor manuscript paintings. Each includes people in various activities, including a group of men admiring a falcon; two women lounging under a pavillion; two lovers; and a man speaking to a woman. All have writing to the front and verso. Each is mounted under glass on with a colored mat, light blue on the largest painting and rose pink for the other three. The reverse side of each is also under glass with a mat to display the writing to the verso. Each is in a narrow gilt wood frame fitted with a loop for hanging.
Condition
- paper is slightly age discolored and warped; minor scratches to each frame; glass is lightly soiled.

- measurements of the largest frame, visible image is 6.5" W x 9.75" H.
