A hand-tufted Camilla rug made by Kaleen for Pottery Barn. This Indian-made wool area rug is rendered in a palette of sage, camel, and saffron with ice-blue and taupe highlights. It features an Oushak-style design of large-scale palmettes amid smaller leaves, flowers, and curling vines over a sage-colored field. Framing the field are four borders, including a primary border grounded in camel and featuring meandering palmettes and vines. Edges are overcast on all sides. The rug has a full fabric backing and is labeled on the reverse. A Kaleen label reads, in part, ‘Kaleen/For Child Welfare’ in reference to the manufacturer’s policies against using child labor.
