A watercolor painting on paper of a rustic townscape. This painting depicts a German style town featuring houses with pointed roofs and a large watchtower, which is tucked behind a cobblestone wall and foliage to the foreground. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature, which is complemented to the margins by handwritten text possibly denoting title and artist. The painting is presented under glass beneath a wide mat in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded patterning to the surface and hanging wire to the verso.
