A watercolor painting on paper of a winter landscape by artist S. Geist. This painting depicts a wooden lodge situated on a snowy hillside with a wooden picketed fence and barren trees seen to the foreground. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature and illegible text beneath the matting. The painting is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded bark patterning to the surface. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a stamp noting former provenance.

Condition

- toning to painting and matting; backing paper is punctured and toned throughout; water damage to backing paper.
