A hand knotted semi-antique Persian Shiraz area rug. This wool rug is knotted on wool with a multi-colored center pole medallion. This piece depicts three connected diamond patterns as the medallions, filled with geometric shapes, on a wine red field. This area rug has indigo crenellation with complex, compound borders filled with geometric shapes and daisies. This rug boasts red, burgundy, pink, indigo, blue, green and cream colors throughout, ending in a natural variegated fringe and checked overcast edges. Unmarked.
