A pair of oil paintings on canvas board, titled Rosses Vineyard and The Vineyard, by listed painter Creason Clayton (1927-2006). These textured paintings feature a view of a field from behind trees in Rosses Vineyard and hill-backed rows of vines, seen from a high distance, in The Vineyard. Both are signed and dated, ‘99’ and ‘89,’ by the artist to the lower left corner, and are presented in gold tone frames with textile liners and wires for hanging. There are inscriptions to the verso of each reading ‘Happy Birthday!! Deborah’ and ‘To: Ross & Deborah, Best Wishes,’ along with the title of each piece and the artist’s signature.
Condition
- wear to frames; residue to verso of each frame; staining to liners.
