A collection of eight volumes of vintage children’s and young adult literature. The collection includes a 1950 ‘First Modern Library Edition’ of William Faulkner’s Light in August, published by The Modern Library, New York. A 1943 copy of 101 Years’ Entertainment: The Great Detective Stories, 1841-1941 was edited by Ellery Queen, and published by Little, Brown and Company, Boston. The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew by Margaret Sidney, was illustrated by William Sharp, and was published in 1948 by Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, New York. There are two cloth cover copies of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh, one published in 1954 and one published in 1961, by E. P. Dutton & Co. Publishers, New York. There is a 1918 red cloth cover copy of Tales From Greece & Rome, which is volume 3 of The Junior Classics ‘The Young Folks Shelf of Books’, published by P. F. Collier & Son Corporation, New York. Louisa May Alcott’s Little Men is illustrated by Hilida Van Stockum, and published by Junior Deluxe Editions, Garden City, New York. A 1973 hardcover copy of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was illustrated by Joseph Schindelman and published by Alfred A. Knopf, New York.
