Lithograph After Caroline Williams Illustration

A gray ink lithograph reproduction of an original illustration by listed Cincinnati artist Caroline Willams (1908 – 1988). The print depicts a stout stone building surrounded by leafless trees and a short stone wall. The print is signed in-plate twice to the lower corners, and is dated ‘5-6-56’ in-plate to the lower right. It is matted in gray with black lining and presented behind glass in a rustic gray wooden frame with a hanging wire. Williams worked as a sketch artist at the Cincinnati Enquirer from 1932 until her death in 1988, at the age of 80. Williams lived in Burlington, Kentucky where she owned Penandhoe Press.
