Pair of Contemporary Hand-Painted Chinese Paper-Cuts
Item Details
A pair of original signed Chinese paper-cuts (jiǎnzhǐ 剪纸). Both of the pieces are cut from delicate rice paper and have bright hand-painted watercolors across their surfaces. One depicts a smiling panda eating plants and the other depicts a snake slithering in a tuft of flowers. Both pieces are mounted against a white backing that has the same artist’s signature stamped in red to its lower corners. The pieces are both matted in white and presented behind glass in matching black composite frames.
