Circa 1890s Handwoven Jacquard Coverlets
Item Details
A pair of antique coverlets. These circa 1890s jacquard coverlets are handwoven in wool and linen. Each is constructed of three panels in the same pattern, sewn together. One features a latticed pattern of concentric ovals in navy blue over ivory. The other features a checkered pattern of squares and rectangles in pink, black, and white, or pink, blue and white. They are unlabeled.
Condition
- there are stains and areas of significant discoloration; fraying along edges.
