A hand-knotted Sino-Persian area rug. This Chinese-made wool rug is rendered in a palette of emerald, midnight blue, ivory, camel, and pale pink. It features a Persian-inspired floral design incorporating a lattice pattern of medallions and cartouche shapes amid densely patterned florals over a field of emerald. Framing the field are five floral borders grounded in light colors, and an outer guard border of emerald. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short kilim skirts and ivory wool warp fringe. It is labeled on the reverse.
