Tang Style Horse Figure

Item Details

An earthenware horse. The piece was made in the style of the Chinese Tang Dynasty horses. The dynasty was founded in 618 and ended in 907 and was known for its ceramics and metalwork. This piece has a white mane and tail, shiny brown glaze with subtle drip green glazes. The base has been left unglazed . There is an illegible impressed mark on the underside of the horse.
