A pencil-signed open edition offset lithograph after the original watercolor painting by well-listed American wildlife artist and naturalist, John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati; born 1924), titled Eagle to the Moon. The image depicts a majestic Bald Eagle moments after she’s taken off from her perch high in a buckeye tree, her wings open in the light of the full moon. Artist signature is printed in plate and signed in pencil to the lower left. This print is mounted behind coordinating double mat, behind glass in a silver tone brushed metal frame, equipped to hang. A Thompson House Gallery label is attached to the verso.
Condition
- accretion on glass. Frame is scratched in several areas.
