Pair of 1960's "Caro Nan" Basket Purses
Item Details
A pair of ‘Caro Nan’ basket purses from the 1960’s. These Carriage Trade basket purses incorporate decoupaged images with hand-painted details featuring hinged lids with quilted fabric linings. One purse displays three owls to the top with one to the front and the other purse shows a floral theme with a girl holding a basket of flowers with a single flower to the front. Each purse is marked to the lid ‘Carriage Trade by Caro Nan’.
Condition
- shows wear consistent with use and age and the owl purse requires a repair
to one of the hinges on the lid.
