Item Details
An oil painting on stretched burlap canvas. The idyllic English Pastoral depicts a herd of grazing cows within a wide green pasture, with a stone farmhouse visible nestled in a copse of trees in the distance before a dark wood. It is signed illegibly in the lower left and presented in a gold tone wooden frame that is strung for hanging.
Condition
- two large patches to the verso; worn edges and corners of frame; cracking to the paint; indications of in-painting to the upper center; small separation at joints of frame.
