Antique Sarcophagus Form Mahogany Tea Caddy

Item Details

A Sarcophagus form tea caddy. This mahogany piece rests on brass ball feet and has bone inlay around the escutcheon. The lid lifts to two sections inside with bone knobs on the lids. The tin foil lining is worn away on the inside. The wood veneer is loose and has been repaired to the outside corners of the lid. No makers marks were found.
