1948 Empire China Porcelain Serving Bowl

Item Details

A porcelain serving bowl from Empire China, produced in 1948. This serving bowl is oval shaped with gilt handles shaped like tassels hanging from scrolling arms. It has a gold tone printed floral design along the off-white exterior, and a printed Classical-style design to the center of the front. Marked to the underside of the rectangular base is ‘Empire England B 747’, indicating it was produced in August, 1948.

Condition

- some wear to the underside; light wear to gilt.
