A hand-knotted Bokhara area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of red, black, ivory, and taupe. It features a single vertical row of Tekke guls over a red field and framing the field are four wraparound borders, including a repeating, boxed starburst pattern in the primary border and two minor borders that feature diamond patterns. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with knotted ivory wool warp fringe. Unmarked.
