A machine woven wool Turkish Capel area rug. This rug features arabesque vining with Shah Abassi palmettes expressed in shades of cream and black over a red field. It has a border decorated with palettes in hues of cream and red over a black ground. This rug finishes with sewn on fringe to either end. It is labeled on the underside ‘Capel Original, made in Turkey’.
